James R. Shoch, III

James Shoch is recently retired as a Managing Director from Aon Corporation where he oversaw the Financial Institutions Practice.  While at Aon, Mr. Shoch specialized in the integration of customized solutions and strategies for risk management issues.

 Prior to his career in risk management, Mr. Shoch was a commercial banker and held appointments with Girard Bank of Philadelphia, Security Pacific Bank, currently Bank of America, and Union Bank of California where he was seconded to the Standard Chartered Bank in London. He is experienced in all aspects of corporate and international lending practices with expertise in sales management and product development.

 Mr. Shoch currently serves on the Board of Directors of Genesis LA Economic Growth Corporation and is a Member of the Finance and Real Estate Committees. He is also a Member of the Advisory Board of Springbanc Philanthropy Advisors, LLC.

Mr. Shoch holds a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and attended the UCLA Graduate School of Business and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.  Over the years he has been very active with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Special Olympics of Southern California.
